“Cheval de fête” Hermès women’s scarf, 90x90 cm
Idea for “Cheval de fête” came from the sketch for a leather pendentif representing horse head created with two leather pieces. Metal eye connecting these two pieces would allow to move head attached to the neck. Associations with a hand fan or colour catalogue enabled me to show movement of a horse head in a form of a flat, colourful composition with a range of different forms. “Cheval de fête” is about joy and power of colour. Simple geometric shapes lead our eye around the square and give us a feeling of energetic and rich composition. One of the sourses of this joyful colour vibration, organised in strong graphic composition can be found in Polish poster school. My dog Kluska is sticking her head out from right lower cockade.
